1. Venous blood lacks in oxygen and have relatively rich in carbon dioxide due to gaseous exchange that has occurred in the capillaries and in the tissues cells. The deoxygenated blood or the blood rich in carbon dioxide concentration is carried by the veins to the heart and from there it is carried to the lungs for oxygenation and thus the blood is carried by the aorta to all parts of the body .
